Our Story

Ombré lane was founded with the objective to create beautiful, versatile workwear for modern Indian women while doing good for our fellow women

We aim to provide the Indian working women with a versatile, comfy, and sharp yet feminine wardrobe using premium quality fabrics that they could carry from the meeting room to social engagements and daily life chores

Our collection includes three themes inspired from your lifestyle. The Boss Lady introduces subtle feminine details to your formal plains. Work to Wine provides the perfect outfit for work as well as after work rendezvous and Casual Chic collection offers smart casuals to add chic to her attire

With your help, we also aim to take a stand for our fellow women. For every product bought from Ombré Lane, we distribute a piece of clothing to those who need it the most

Buy to Give

For every product you buy, we’ll distribute a piece of clothing to those who need it the most

Our buy to give initiative begins with you

BUY

You buy a top or a dress from Ombré Lane

COLLECT

We add up number of orders in a month and make a monthly contribution that covers the cost of sourcing sarees to our partner, Goonj - a voluntary organisation

DEVELOP

Our partner organization Goonj works in the remotest villages in India to build roads, schools, employment centers and to create education/awareness around menstrual hygiene. They mobilize communities to take up their own developmental works by giving them sarees and other clothing

SUSTAIN

Instead of giving a donation, which is a temporary solution, the idea is to develop the sense of ownership amongst the communities, making them self-reliant and aware

Why Saree?

Saree is the ultimate staple of a rural woman’s wardrobe. Women belonging to far flung, rural areas typically spend their entire life wearing no more than 3-4 sarees. Old cotton sarees are also reused as menstrual pads – lack of which forces these women to use unhygienic and unsafe products during menstruation

Making a Sustainable Impact

These Sarees are not just distributed to women; on the contrary, these strong women are presented with sarees for their efforts towards developing their communities by building bridges, schools, and educating themselves as well as the others in the society
